Hiking in Alpine

Nate, Matt and Joe climbed the hill behind Joe's mom's house on Saturday.  I love that they took a camera to capture any wild life they might be able to encounter...

I get a kick out of these guys!  They are all teenagers but still have an element of little kid.  Nate and Matt especially.  If there is something to explore or build that will get you dirty, they're going to do it.  I like that they are all in on it.  They tease the heck out of each other but just tease right back.

After the hike, Matt's mom met me and I brought them all with Allie and I to the Jr. High production of A Little Mermaid.  I wasn't planing on taking them but when I said I was going they all wanted to support  Hayden who was in the play which I thought was awesome.  We actually had a really fun time!  They were entertaining and for a Jr. High play, they were great!!!  The costumes, set, voices,  and characters were impressive.

The best part of the evening: when I pulled up to the front of the school with our windows down and "Single Ladies" blaring on the stereo of Brian's car, mostly because the muffler is falling off and his car sounds RIDICULOUS!!!  The boys had their hoodies on and couldn't stop laughing.  It was hilarious.
I know I have said it before, but I couldn't be more grateful for the good friends our kids have!
