April 13, 2013

It's official.
All though, the night before was full of anxiety and tears because...
"I'm not perfect.  I can't stay perfect.  After I get baptized, I'll make mistakes.  It scares me!  I don't want to make Heavenly Father sad!  He wants me to try to be perfect.  I don't think I should do it."
But after LOTS of talking and tears she realized that it was all going to be okay!  Brian and I both made sure that she knew it was her choice either way, but TRYING to be perfect is a lot different than BEING perfect.  We all make mistakes and that is what getting baptized is all about.  Our sweet Primary President and Bishop were truly inspired on the morning of the event because they both gave the absolute PERFECT talks for Allie to hear!  They were short but very direct to the children.  In between the baptism and confirmation our families and friends were given cards to write notes to Allie on.  She was then given a box to keep the cards in to remember her special day.  She was incredibly touched by a few of the cards and the messages she received in them. A few of  her favorites were from her brothers, her Gram, Jeanie and her Uncle Michael.  She has read all the cards at least 10 times and gets a kick out of all the cute pictures from all her "favorite" cousins...because ALL of her cousins are her FAVORITE!!!  And of course Ashtyn's, because "she's my best friend so I have to love hers!"

Grandpa Devries was there, doesn't he look handsome?

Aunt Karrie and Princess Allie
They are buddies!
Great Grandma DeVries and Allie.
She kept telling me that she looked old.
I think that she is so beautiful!
Good luck at your dance competition Lil!  You look pretty!
"Break a leg!!" but not really.
Allie and her Daddy.
She would be completely lost without him!
He puts a lot of time into making sure she knows how special she is.
I know my children are blessed to have Brian as their dad.
He is one in a million and we love him!
Gram, Pop and Allie
My last one.
There's never enough time with Hailey...
